  • What is Rennie?
Rennie is an over-the-counter antacid designed to provide quick and effective relief from heartburn, indigestion, acid reflux, and other symptoms of excess stomach acid. Available in chewable tablet form, Rennie works rapidly to neutralise stomach acid and soothe discomfort.

    How does Rennie work?
Rennie contains calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate, two active ingredients that work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Once chewed and swallowed, the ingredients react with stomach acid to form water and other neutral compounds, reducing acidity and alleviating symptoms of heartburn, acid reflux, and indigestion.

    • Chew or suck 1 to 2 tablets as needed, up to a maximum of 16 tablets per day.
    • Do not swallow whole.
    • Suitable for use after meals, before bed, or whenever symptoms occur.
    • If symptoms persist for more than 14 days, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
  • While Rennie is generally well tolerated, some individuals may experience mild side effects, including:

    • Constipation or diarrhoea
    • Nausea or stomach discomfort
    • Hypercalcaemia (excess calcium in the blood) if taken in very high doses

If you experience any severe or prolonged side effects, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
